What do you do for work?
I have spent three decades working in Human Resources, beginning in Training and Development and later transitioning into broader HR leadership roles. After completing my doctorate, I shifted into academia and now teach business and HR courses remotely. I believe the role of a practitioner-scholar is crucial in the classroom, as professional experience helps connect theory and research to the realities of today’s workplace.
What result or “win” are you creating inside your organization using CliftonStrengths?
I was first introduced to StrengthsFinder in 2006 through a team-building activity when joining a new company. While it helped me better understand my peers, it quickly became a valuable tool for my own growth and effectiveness at work. Over time, I have found few assessments as accurate or impactful as my top five strengths, which reflect my experience in training, employee relations, and strategic partnership with leaders. Today, I incorporate CliftonStrengths into the MBA Management course I teach, helping students build self-awareness and collaborate more effectively in team environments.
How do you use StrengthsMugs as a coaching or team-building tool?
When mentoring recent college graduates, I often gift them strengths-based resources such as StrengthsFinder 2.0 along with the assessment. I believe StrengthsMugs can be effectively used for both coaching and team-building, serving as a tangible reminder of individual talents and helping strengthen collaboration when people work together.

Her career has focused on associate relations, leadership development, change management, performance management, and succession planning. Known as a trusted HR partner and influential leader, she brings an optimistic and people-centered communication style to both her professional work and her teaching.
